Itinerary

Day 1: VIENTIANE ARRIVAL – BUDDHA PARK June 30, 2025

Upon your arrival at Wattay International Airport in Vientiane, you will be transferred to your hotel in town, with early check-in available based on your arrival time. Vientiane, with its charming tuk-tuk drivers and serene location along the tranquil Mekong River, offers a unique blend of relaxation and cultural intrigue. While it may be the capital and largest city of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, its laid-back atmosphere is part of its charm, inviting you to unwind and soak in the local vibe.

After a short rest, we will embark on a scenic drive to Buddha Park, also known as Xieng Khuan, located about 45 minutes away. This fascinating park is home to over 200 Buddhist and Hindu statues, each telling its own story and creating a captivating atmosphere.As your day comes to a close, enjoy a leisurely stroll along the Mekong River, where you can take in the breathtaking sunset. This is the perfect opportunity to relax with a cold drink or sample delicious snacks from the local food stalls.

You will overnight in Vientiane, surrounded by the peaceful ambiance of this charming city.

Day 2: VIENTIANE – TRAIN TO VANG VIENG (Breakfast) July 01, 2025

Start your morning with a visit to That Luang, the holiest site in Laos. This magnificent temple, built by King Setthathirat in the 16th century, gleams with a stunning golden spire that shines brilliantly in the morning sun.Next, climb the stairs to the top of Patuxai, Vientiane’s own “Arc de Triomphe,” where you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the city and its surroundings.Continue your exploration down Lane Xang Avenue to the serene Wat Sisaket, the only temple that remained intact after the Siamese invasion in 1828. Nearby, visit Wat Phra Keo, which now serves as a religious museum showcasing a remarkable collection of both Lao and Khmer art.After soaking in the rich culture and history, we will transfer you to the train station for the afternoon express train to Vang Vieng. Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in town, where you can relax and unwind.Overnight in Vang Vieng, ready to embrace the adventures that await you.

Day 3: VANG VIENG (Breakfast) July 02, 2025

Today, we embark on a full day of adventure, immersing ourselves in the breathtaking natural beauty of Vang Vieng. Our journey begins at Tham Jang, a renowned cave that served as a refuge for local residents during the Chinese invasion two centuries ago, offering a glimpse into the region's rich history.

Next, we’ll explore Tham Nangfa, also known as Angel Cave. This enchanting cave is adorned with vast limestone formations and stunning stalactites in unique configurations, creating a magical atmosphere perfect for photography and quiet contemplation.

For those seeking an extra thrill, we recommend the exhilarating zipline experience in the area, providing a fantastic way to admire the stunning views from above (available for an additional charge of $19 per person).

After exploring these magnificent caves, we’ll head to Blue Lagoon 3, a tranquil oasis ideal for relaxation and cooling off. Surrounded by lush greenery and crystal-clear waters, Blue Lagoon is the perfect spot to swim, unwind, and savor the serene environment.

In the late afternoon, enjoy a 30-minute cruise upstream on the Nam Song River aboard a local long-tail boat (two people per boat), soaking in the picturesque landscapes that surround you. On your return journey to the hotel, we can stop at local villages and a market to experience the vibrant culture firsthand.

The remainder of the day is yours to relax, culminating in the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful sunset over the Nam Song River from your hotel.

You will spend the night in Vang Vieng, reflecting on the day's unforgettable adventures.

Day 4: VANG VIENG – TRAIN TO LUANG PRABANG – ANCIENT CITY (Breakfast) July 03, 2025

We will begin our day with a morning train ride to Luang Prabang, a journey that takes about one hour. Upon arrival at the train station, you will be warmly greeted and transferred to the city center.

Our first stop will be the Royal Palace Museum, where you can explore a fascinating collection of artifacts that reflect the rich history and culture of Laos. Next, we’ll visit Wat Mai, a stunning temple renowned for its intricate golden bas-relief, celebrated as one of the most beautiful temples in town.

From there, we will continue to the historic Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong, a masterpiece of Lao temple architecture. This temple features a sweeping two-tiered roof and ornate mosaics, including a breathtaking ‘Tree of Life’ glass montage on the rear wall, which captures the essence of Lao artistry.

If time permits, we will venture outside the city to visit Ban Xang Khong, a Thai Lue village famous for its arts and crafts. We’ll also explore the nearby village of Ban Xienglek, known for its traditional Sa paper production.

Returning to the town, we’ll take a leisurely walk through the charming streets of the city center, observing the daily lives of the local people. In the late afternoon, climb to the top of Mount Phousi for an exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa, where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the Mekong River at sunset.

Our day will conclude with a visit to the famous Night Market, where you can browse a lovely selection of handmade textiles created by local artisans and hill tribe communities surrounding Luang Prabang.

Day 5: BANCHAN POTTERY VILLAGE – PAK OU CAVES (Breakfast, Lunch) July 04, 2025

In the morning, our guide and tuk-tuk driver will transport you to the boat pier, where you'll embark on a scenic journey downstream along the Mekong River to reach Ban Chan Pottery Village. Upon arrival, you’ll begin with a brief tour to uncover the village's rich history and heritage. As you stroll through the village, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the pottery center, a traditional kiln, and a local brick factory, gaining insight into the craftsmanship that defines this community.

After your exploration, unleash your creativity by crafting a unique souvenir from clay, guided by traditional Lao pottery techniques. Your completed pottery piece will be thoughtfully fired and delivered to your hotel within 3-7 days, depending on the weather conditions.

Following this hands-on experience, enjoy a delightful lunch on a terrace that offers picturesque views of the river, allowing you to relax and savor the moment.

In the afternoon, we will continue our journey with a leisurely cruise upstream on the Mekong River, where you can soak in breathtaking views of the tranquil countryside. Our destination is the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, a 16th-century cave monastery that houses thousands of Buddha images nestled in the limestone cliffs overlooking the river, located 25 kilometers north of Luang Prabang.

En route, we will stop at Ban Muang Keo, a well-known village famous for its traditional Lao rice whisky distilling, where you can learn about this local craft.

After our enriching day, we’ll take the boat back to Luang Prabang, where you will spend the night, reflecting on the unique experiences and beauty of the day.

Day 6: MORNING ALMS GIVING – BUFFALO DAIRY FARM – KUANG SI WATERFALLS (Breakfast) July 05, 2025

Wake up as the sun rises to prepare for one of the most sacred traditions of Laos: the daily morning alms giving, a practice that dates back to the 14th century. Each morning, more than 200 Buddhist monks depart from various temples to gather their daily meal from faithful residents who sit quietly along the streets, creating a peaceful and reflective atmosphere.

After this serene experience, we will visit the temporary morning market near the former Royal Palace. Here, local vendors barter their fresh catches of the day, offering everything from rice and vegetables to fish and chicken, reflecting the vibrant community spirit.

Following breakfast, we will transfer to the Buffalo Dairy Farm on our way to the stunning Kuang Si Waterfalls, an engaging stop for both children and adults. At the farm, you can learn about sustainable dairy practices while enjoying some delightful local treats.

Next, we’ll head directly to Kuang Si Waterfalls, the largest in the Luang Prabang area, featuring three tiers that cascade into spectacular azure pools. These inviting pools are perfect for swimming and are beloved by both tourists and locals alike.

If you wish, you can take a short visit to the Bear Rescue Center, which provides sanctuary for animals rescued from poachers and traffickers, allowing you to learn about conservation efforts in the region.

After visiting the waterfalls, we can enjoy a peaceful afternoon at the nearby Butterfly Park, where you can relax in a beautiful garden filled with colorful butterflies while savoring afternoon tea and homemade cookies.

Laos is also renowned for its traditional crafts, and we will take a short visit to the Pop Tock Living Craft Center. Set against the backdrop of the Mekong River, this beautifully designed workshop showcases skilled weavers, spinners, and batik makers who produce high-quality fabrics. Free tours are offered every half-hour, providing insight into the art of Lao craftsmanship.

Day 7: DEPARTURE (Breakfast) July 06, 2025
