Dalat

Dalat

Dalat is the capital of Lam Dong Province, located on the Lam Vien Plateau at an altitude of 1,500 meters above sea level. About 300 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City and known for its cool climate year-round, Dalat is an ideal retreat for travelers seeking respite from the heat of the southern region.

The climate in Dalat remains cool throughout the year, thanks to its geographical position in the highlands of the Central Highlands. From January to April, spring adorns the mountain town with vibrant colors from various flowers such as cherry blossoms, white bauhinia, and purple phoenix flowers.

From May to September, summer coincides with the peak tourist season as visitors flock to escape the heat. However, this is also the rainy season in Dalat, requiring everyone to carry raincoats or umbrellas.

From October to December, Dalat enters the dry and colder season. Travelers during this time can enjoy the sight of wild sunflowers blooming in brilliant yellow, the shimmering pink grass on hillsides in the early morning mist, and the breathtaking view of clouds enveloping the mountains in the outskirts.
