II. DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL – HANOI HALF DAY CITY (PRIVATE TOUR)
Arrival in Hanoi. Be welcomed at the airport by our driver and transfer to your hotel in the city center. Take a break then join Half Day City Tour in the afternoon.
Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel to visit the Temple of Literature – the first national university of Vietnam. (or you might choose one of the museums in Hanoi – Hoa Lo prison, Military museum, Museum of History, Ethnology museum..),
The next move is to West Lake and we pay a visit to Quan Thanh Temple & the oldest pagoda Tran Quoc.
Continues to visit Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son temple.
Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.
DAY 2: NINH BINH: HOA LU – TAM COC, BICH DONG (B/L) PRIVATE TOUR
AM: 7:00 – 7:30. Our guide & driver will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter, then leave by coach to Hoa Lu (2.5 hrs).
Visit the historic capital of Vietnam and the famous ancient temples of Le and the Dinh Dynasties.
Then our bus will transfer you from Hoa Lu to Tam Coc for lunch around at 12:30PM. PM.
After lunch, boat trip to visit Tam Coc to see the beauty of the karst formations as you pass along their base and row into one of the many caves carved through the limestone.
Then, cycle for an hour on quiet roads through villages, rice fields, rivers and rocky outcrops in Tam Coc – Bich Dong (around 5 km).
Drive back to Hanoi and drop off at your hotel around at 18:30PM.
DAY 3 (20/11): HANOI – HALONG BAY (B/L/D) SHUTTLE BUS

07.45 – 08.30: You will be picked up from your hotel in Ha Noi Old Quarter. Then we will head to Ha Long Bay. You may enjoy the landscape of the Red River Delta along the way
11.30: Upon arriving in our lobby in Tuan Chau Marina, you may take a short stretch while our staff arranges all registration with the local government.
12.00 – 12.30: The cruise captain and staff will welcome you onboard LE JOURNEY CRUISE after a short tender transfer. While enjoying a refreshing welcome drink, a short cruise briefing and safety instructions will be given.
12.30 – 13.00: LE JOURNEY CRUISE voyages to Ha Long Bay – one of the New Seven Nature Wonders of the World. Lunch is served on board while the cruise passes via amazing limestone karst formations that rise up out of the sea in an impressive manner.
14.00 – 14.30: You will leave the cruise to explore Sung Sot Cave (also known as Surprise/ Amazing Cave), one of the biggest and most beautiful caves in Ha Long Bay.
15.00: Returning to LE JOURNEY CRUISE, the trip will continue to Ti Top Island. Here, you can watch the magnificent view over either the Gulf of Tonkin or swim in the emerald green and cool water.
17.00: After a long day, this is the ideal time to enjoy energizing drinks and snacks by joining ‘Happy Hour’ or Cooking Class on the sundeck
19.30: Sumptuous Dinner is served. Enjoy delicious local food prepared and served for you by our wonderful onboard catering staff.
20.30: After dinner, various activities including karaoke, and squid fishing are organized. Or you can just laze around with exhilarating drinks from our bar. The rest of the day is spent at your leisure.
DAY 4: HALONG – HANOI (B/BR) FLIGHT TO HO CHI MINH (FLIGHT INCLUDED)
06.15 – 07.00: Breakfast is served. It can be a great idea to enjoy the meal with the magnificent view of the sunrise in Ha Long Bay.
8.00 -9.30: The cruise gets closer to the center of the Natural Preservation Area. Join our guide on a short trip to Luon Cave. This magic work of nature shows you the formation of karst mountains. You can discover this time masterpiece by kayaking on your own. If you are lucky, you can catch great photos with mischievous monkeys jigging up and down around the cliffs.
9.30: LE JOURNEY Cruise welcomes you back on board and it is time for checking out.
10.00: Whilst cruising back, delightful lunch will be served.
11.35: We return to the quayside in the south of the bay, where our visitors disembark in Tuan Chau Marina. And leave for Ha Noi on our shuttle.
15.30 – 16.00: You will get back to your hotel in Ha Noi Old Quarter. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Land in HCM, check in hotel and overnight in hotel.
DAY 5 (22/11): MEKONG DELTA FULL DAY (B/L) PRIVATE TOUR
Leaving the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and start your trip to depart for My Tho, the town lies on the left side of the Mekong River. Upon arrival, visit Vinh Trang pagoda which sated back to the late 19th century. Then boarding the sampan and cruising down the river around the four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands.
Stop over at Unicorn Island, go walking around country lane and seeing orchards, enjoy tropical fruits, folk song music which performed by the local people. Visit the fruit plantation.
Riding a hand-rowed sampan through Thoi Son canal and treat yourself in the beauty of the countryside, visit the family business, visit honey-bee farm, enjoy honey tea and coconut candy workshop.
Have lunch at local restaurant. Break time.
In the afternoon, time for cycling around the Tan Thach village, meet the local villagers to experience the local daily life in the Mekong delta. Hammock relaxing and enjoy cool breeze for those can’t join the cycling trip. Return to Ho Chi Minh City.
DAY 6 (23/11): CU CHI TUNNELS HALF DAY TOUR (B) PRIVATE TOUR
Pick up at your hotel and depart to Cu Chi will take approximately one and a half hours bus driving.
Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the war time. Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purpose during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served.
Break time for relax or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun.
Return to Saigon.
DAY 7 (24/11): HO CHI MINH – FLIGHT TO SIEM REAP, CAMBODIA (B) FLIGHT INCLUDED
Breakfast in hotel. Freetime on your own leisure. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Land in Siem Reap, check in hotel and overnight in hotel.
DAY 8 (25/11): SIEM REAP – ANGKOR WAT FULL DAY TOUR (B) PRIVATE TOUR
After breakfast, visit to The South Gate of Angkor Thom: Bayon Temple, The Royal Enclosure, Phimeanaka, Elephant and Leper King Terrace. Continue visit to Ta Promh (the jungle temple. After lunch, visit to Thommanan, Chaosay Tevoda, Ta Keo: small, attractive temple in very good condition, built all the same time as Angkor Wat. Continue to Angkor Wat: The “7th Wonders’of the World”. World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. Continue visit to Bakheng Hill: Sunset viewing on the top of the hill. Bakheng is the first major temple to be constructed in the Angkor area; this temple-mountain offers extraordinary views of the Tonle Sap and Angkor Wat. Overnight in Siem Reap.
DAY 9 (26/11): TONLE SAP (B) DEPARTURE
Visit the floating village of Chong Khneas, located 10 kilometers south of Siem Reap. We take a boat trip in a traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap Lake, the “Great Lake” of Cambodia, one of the largest in Asia. We spend the rest of time visiting the “Chantiers Ecoles – Les Artisans d’Angkor” which provides training to young Cambodians in an effort to revive the ancient Khmer traditions of stone carving and wood sculpting. We will drive to the Pouk district about 15 Km in the West of Siem Reap town you visit the silk farm, a fascinating farm/workshop where you can see the entire silk creation process including growing the food for the silk worms, breeding the worms, silk extraction and refinement, traditional kit dying pattern creation and looming. Retail silk and souvenir shop. On the way back, visit the Western Baray (Baray Occidental) measuring 8 km by 2.3 km which provided water for the intensive cultivation of lands around Angkor.
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight. End trip.
